I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Broken

He's been one of my best friends since I've moved to Texas & the first boy who had a crush on me.
He's taught me so much & has had a huge struggle in life. Whenever I was down he would cheer me up and now he is leaving... We have been through so much together as friends and I know the real person he is, not this person who is overcome. Live & Learn I suppose, he will now have to fight this alone, I'm going to miss him so much. Maybe this is for the best, to help him. All we can do is pray. The hansom, loving, free-spirited kid will come back, the same as he was. I know it. I love you so much & know I'm going to be here for you every step of the way. Like your father said...
"It's not what happens, it's how you handle it when it happens."

Can't wait till you return I'm going to miss you every second till then Jake.
Sincerly,
Morgan.

Time

It's been quite a while since I've updated this blog, it's all been flying by.
Time that is. I loved every moment of sophomore year, wouldn't change one thing. Every laugh has made me more joyful, every tear stronger, every mistake a tad wiser. I wouldn't change my friends, family, or memories for the world.

I've realized more also in this past year then ever before.
Here are a few.

-I cleaned out my laptop and I would find perhaps a funny photo of something random, or a list of cool words, I perhaps look at maybe twice a year, but wish I looked at more. This time I looked at them, I deleted them. Because I enjoyed them already and they are just taking up space, that's what I'm doing in my life, cleaning up and throwing away. If something is used and there really is no use for it again, why keep it?

-WHO CARES? This one is a HUGE thing. I've totally come to the realization that it really doesn't matter AT ALL what people say or think about you. High school is high school, people are GOING to screw up, make MISTAKES, and have a CRAZY ride. What's high school for? I dislike whenever people judge others for their mistakes and sins, when they have their own that weigh just as much in God's eyes. THINK ABOUT IT. The only person that I should worry about judging me someday, is our Saviour.

-Be kind to everyone. I am a very sarcastic person, mainly to my friends and people that I know aren't going to be offended. BUT I do need to work on not coming off serious when I'm not, especially to people I do not know. Guys if you meet me, know that I'm playing 99.9% of the time. But back on topic, don't judge right from the get go, learn about the person, talk to that person, before deciding if they are the same person you've heard other talk about, most of the time those people turn out to be great.

-Last but not least.                               LIVE IT UP
You only live once :)

In order to be old and wise, we must first be young and stupid.

Make Life Simple Again

So I found this new website,
if you haven't heard of it, you HAVE to check it out.

http://www.stumbleupon.com

You just check off things you are interested in, and it shows you so many websites that would interest you.
I LOVE IT.

So, I was "stumbling" and I found this.
God sent this to me, I know it.
Most of these, I am going to start doing.

60 Ways To Make Life Simple Again

  1. Don’t try to read other people’s minds.  Don’t make other people try to read yours.  Communicate.
  2. Be polite, but don’t try to be friends with everyone around you.  Instead, spend time nurturing your relationships with the people who matter most to you.
  3. Your health is your life, keep up with it.  Get an annual physical check-up.
  4. Live below your means.  Don’t buy stuff you don’t need.  Always sleep on big purchases.  Create a budget and savings plan and stick to both of them.
  5. Get enough sleep every night.  An exhausted mind is rarely productive.
  6.  Get up 30 minutes earlier so you don’t have to rush around like a mad man.  That 30 minutes will help you avoid speeding tickets, tardiness, and other unnecessary headaches.
  7. Get off your high horse, talk it out, shake hands or hug, and move on.
  8. Don’t waste your time on jealously.  The only person you’re competing against is yourself.
  9. Surround yourself with people who fill your gaps.  Let them do the stuff they’re better at so you can do the stuff you’re better at.
  10. Organize your living space and working space.
  11. Get rid of stuff you don’t use.
  12. Ask someone if you aren’t sure.
  13. Spend a little time now learning a time-saving trick or shortcut that you can use over and over again in the future.
  14. Don’t try to please everyone.  Just do what you know is right.
  15. Don’t drink alcohol or consume recreational drugs when you’re mad or sad.  Take a jog instead.
  16. Be sure to pay your bills on time.
  17. Fill up your gas tank on the way home, not in the morning when you’re in a hurry.
  18. Use technology to automate tasks.
  19. Handle important two-minute tasks immediately.
  20. Relocate closer to your place of employment.
  21. Don’t steal.
  22. Always be honest with yourself and others.
  23. Say “I love you” to your loved ones as often as possible.
  24. Single-task.  Do one thing at a time and give it all you got.
  25. Finish one project before you start another.
  26. Be yourself.
  27. When traveling, pack light.  Don’t bring it unless you absolutely must.
  28. Clean up after yourself.  Don’t put it off until later.
  29. Learn to cook, and cook.
  30. Make a weekly (healthy) menu, and shop for only the items you need.
  31. Consider buying and cooking food in bulk.  If you make a large portion of something on Sunday, you can eat leftovers several times during the week without spending more time cooking.
  32. Stay out of other people’s drama.  And don’t needlessly create your own.
  33. Buy things with cash.
  34. Maintain your car, home, and other personal belongings you rely on.
  35. Smile often, even to complete strangers.
  36. If you hate doing it, stop it.
  37. Treat everyone with the same level of respect you would give to your grandfather and the same level of patience you would have with your baby brother.
  38. Apologize when you should.
  39. Write things down.
  40. Be curious.  Don’t be scared to learn something new.
  41. Explore new ideas and opportunities often.
  42. Don’t be shy.  Network with people.  Meet new people.
  43. Don’t worry too much about what other people think about you.
  44. Spend time with nice people who are smart, driven, and likeminded.
  45. Don’t text and drive.  Don’t drink and drive.
  46. Drink water when you’re thirsty.
  47. Don’t eat when you’re bored.  Eat when you’re hungry.
  48. Exercise every day.  Simply take a long, relaxing walk.
  49. Let go of things you can’t change.  Concentrate on things you can.
  50. Find hard work you actually enjoy doing.
  51. Realize that the harder you work, the luckier you will become.
  52. Follow your heart.  Don’t waste your life fulfilling someone else’s dreams and desires.
  53. Set priorities for yourself and act accordingly.
  54. Take it slow and add up all your small victories.
  55. However good or bad a situation is now, it will change.  Accept this simple fact.
  56. Excel at what you do.  Otherwise you’ll just frustrate yourself.
  57. Mature, but don’t grow up too fast.
  58. Realize that you’re never quite as right as you think you are.
  59. Build something or do something that makes you proud.
  60. Make mistakes, learn from them, laugh about them, and move along.

You're Not Sorry

All this time I was wasting
Hoping you would come around
I've been giving out chances every time
And all you do is let me down

And it's taking me this long
Baby but I figured you out
And you're thinking we'll be fine again
But not this time around

You don't have to call anymore
I won't pick up the phone
This is the last straw
Don't wanna hurt anymore

And you can say that you're sorry
But I don't believe you baby
Like I did before
You're not sorry, no, no, no, no

Looking so innocent
I might believe you if I didn't know
Could've loved you all my life
If you hadn't left me waiting in the cold

And you got your share of secrets
And I'm tired of being last to know
And now you're asking me to listen
Cause it's worked each time before

But you don't have to call anymore
I won't pick up the phone
This is the last straw
Don't wanna hurt anymore

And you can tell me that you're sorry
But I don't believe you baby
Like I did before
You're not sorry, no, no, oh
You're not sorry, no, no, oh

You had me falling for you honey
And it never would've gone away, no
You used to shine so bright
But I watched all of it fade

So you don't have to call anymore
I won't pick up the phone
This is the last straw
There's nothing left to beg for

And you can tell me that you're sorry
But I don't believe you baby
Like I did before
You're not sorry, no, no, oh
You're not sorry, no, no, oh
No, oh, no, oh, no oh
Whoa, no, no

Go For It

Today I went back to school shopping, and I bought so many things and I really realized how fortunate I am. Some kids in the world can't even afford food to eat and I even know personally some people that can't buy clothing because they are trying to save up. I just want to thank God for everything I have, and I need to work on being thankful.

That's one thing that I want to work on this Sophomore year.

Be thankful- I honestly complain was to much about my life, either it be I'm not happy with the way I look or I'm bored, etc. I need to take a step back and just appreciate the life I have.

Stay organized- I'm OCD when it comes to somethings, but others honestly I just give up after a certain point. Like school by winter I'm done with keeping my things in order and that gives me a disadvantage. So keep my assignments, my driving info, my agenda, everything in check.

Spend more time with my family- Not only am I hardly with my family, when I am I am just in a bad mood. I notice that I am rude to my siblings, even though they annoy me I need to deal with it and put on a smile... If I'm the bigger person I think they will follow my lead.

No insomnia-  I seriously go to bed from 3:00-4:00 a.m every night. Even when I'm by myself. Then I end up waking up late and wasting half of my day, and then when I want to make plans it's too late. So I need to get off of the computer, or turn off the t.v and snooze earlier than midnight at least.

Chill with the facebook- I made this deal with my friend Cayleigh that we had to stay off facebook for one week, one week only. Sunday-Saturday. So I deleted my Facebook Application on my Iphone (the main resource I blame for my addiction), and took it off my homescreen on my Mac. So Wednesday rolls around only three days has gone by, and I get a text from her telling me to check my fb (yes I'm even using abbreviations) because she caved and got on... So I checked mine to make it even but I am trying to stay off again... I feel like when I'm on it's all I do! So again, forget facebook.

Keep up with the word- I have been reading my Bible so much more, and I just feel closer to the Lord and ah I just love this feeling. I am going to make it last. As well as reading the Bible more, I'm going to go to church more often, youth, and try to help out at God's House on thursdays.

Stay on the right path- I guess this has something to do with the last thing I mentioned but, I have been making very good decisions and I am going to continue to do so this year, I am also going to try and keep my friends and other acquaintances on it too.

Be happy- I don't notice how sometimes I treat people rudely because I'm in a bad mood or had a bad morning, I'm going to try and be happy, not just look happy but genuinely let go of my troubles and look on the bright side. Oh, also treat everyone with respect that they deserve.

I hope I can do these things,
wish me luck talk to you next year.

Summer

Sorry I haven't been blogging lately.
During summer I just haven't found the time to do many things that I enjoy, including this. Which is sad because school is around the corner... So much to do so little time.

This summer has taught me so much more than I could ever imagine, a first for so many things, and second for many as well. I had my heart broken... twice. I learned the true meaning of life... I went back to my favorite place in the entire world. I got a little sun. Laughed until I cried and cried until I laughed with some of the most amazing people I could ever ask for. But, for as much as I learned this summer... I have so many more questions & desires.

I am ready to endure sophomore year. I am actually excited to go back to school, but don't quote me on that. Honestly though, I think this year is going to be my favorite of them all. I am so much more... prepared. I guess that is the word I am looking for. My walk with the Lord is so much stronger and since I am reading his word more I feel like I can do anything, and the reason I feel like that is because I can. With him I can.

This moment that I am having is him in me, these moments where I feel strong and bold are rare lately though. I have been feeling sort of in a "fake happy" mode, if any of you have ever felt like that. Where you know you should be in high spirits and satisfied with your life, because you are so blessed... But it just feels as if something is missing? That "missing" piece may be what God has been wanting me to long for. Him. I know that should be what I am longing for, during this summer... I felt that being in a relationship with a guy makes me so much more happy. Which is NOT what God wants, of course he wants me to be happy but, I'm too young to be wanting to be "in love". At least... with a guy. God wants me to be in love with him and for him to make me the happiest. So that is a reason why I think this sophomore year is going to be great. Because I have realized that.

Thank you Lord for summer two thousand and ten.
I used to think that I wanted to erase some of the memories, but now I see that every single one that I have made has helped me grow closer in my walk with you.

I seriously love this quote. I agree with it 100 percent.

Solitude

Freshman year has by far been the best and worst year of my life.
When people ask me what my favorite school year has been, I've always said 6th grade.
But now I can say 6th AND 9th.

I don't think I've ever laughed as much as this year and I thank God for it.
For the people who he has brought me close too, for the smiles that I've seen on others faces, for teachers who have taught me more about life than school.

Here are some people who have impacted my life this yearrr.

1. You are the person that I've become closest to this year, not only are you so different from anyone i've ever met, you lead me in an amazing direction. I know your confused on some things right now, but your a wonderful person inside and out. I love you so much and I swear that we will hang out soon, it's pathetic I've never had a best friend that I haven't hung out with.

2. You have been my best friend since the beginning of time, you know more about me than anyone else, and I'm so thankful that God put you in my life. You have taught me more than you think and you are smarter than you think as well. Give yourself more credit, your a very strong girl.

3. You are new in my life,
and I want you to stay in it :)

4. I miss you, girl I never see you at school and we have only hung out a couple of times but, I miss being in classes with you. I really really hope we have classes together next year like 8th grade.

5. I think you are one of the sweetest and most creative person I've ever met. You are going to read this most likely, but not know that it is you. I think you are very smart and strong as well, plus I don't think I could have made it through art class without you. I want to hang out this summer... and steal your wardrobe... (that might give it away.)

6. Babyy gurll, you are never going to read this. But, I wanted to thank you for this year we have become so much closer, and you understand a lot of what I am going through. I feel like you will tell me the truth even if it hurts my feelings and I respect your opinion for that. Here's to a great summer together.

7. You, oh you. We've been through a lot together, and although I think you don't really care about me now, I still care about you a lot, not the way I used to but I still cherish your friendship. Mistake after mistake has been made, but this summer I hope to clear things up with you.

8. Well, I don't really know what to think of you. For some reason I get different vibes from you, when your around different people. Friends or not friends? I really hope the first one.

9. I don't like how you judge people, but I guess that is a part of life. I'm going to meet people who are just perfect and have never made a mistake.

10. Having so many classes with you this year shows me your playful and sweet side that I didn't think you had. It's very attractive so I hope you stay that way.

11. Wow, I can't believe I'm just now writing something about you, you are probably the one who I've spent the most of my time with this year. And I wouldn't trade those memories for the world. With every laugh and tear our friendship is stronger and stronger. Love you.

12. You chica are the FUNNIEST girl on the planet. BAR NONE. I honestly love your guts and hope that we hang out during this summer, because your name brings a smile to my face.

13. You are also a new friend, and I love ya already girly. I really hope that we get together this summer and have a bunch of fun to make up for time lost this year!

14. I miss being very close to you, you were like my brother... But I guess things can change in a couple of months...

15. Can we go back to the way things used to be...?

16. I love your music, hugs, pick me up texts, and smile.

It's all the same

Alright.
So do you wanna know a little secret pet peeve of mine?

It is when people judge someone they do not know.

YES, I will admit that I have done that before,
but not to this extent.
Everyone has said little things here and there about someone they do not know,
but that doesn't make it right, now does it?

I would l o v e to talk to the people that I need to about this, BUT. My very good friend wants me to keep my mouth shut, I guess until I have her permission I cannot confront these lovely ladies. Anyway, the reason I would want to confront them, is because I have "heard" things they have been saying & I do not rely on what I "hear" so I want to go directly to the source. But, as I've said. My friend does not want me to say anything, and I will have enough respect to do that.

These girls that have been saying things about me and my friends are supposedly "christians" and I'm not denying it, they are GREAT girls. BUT, when they judge my friends and I, when they don't even KNOW us, that is uncalled for . If you hear something about someone, jump to your own conclusions about someone, or say something that may be completely false about someone, could be even worse than what that person did to make you say those things. Do you follow me?

I can give you an example:
If someone steals a loaf of bread.
or so you hear.
& you judge them and say that they aren't "christian" because "christian people" don't do that.
But then you find out that they didn't even steal the bread,
but you don't believe them anyway.
THAT, jumping to conclusions, is worse than the sin of stealing.
Because YOU do not have a place to judge.
Only Jesus Christ our lord and saviour does.

So please, I am trying to be kind here.
PLEASE get to know someone before you judge them.

Down Time.

Most of you reading this,
know that the past month has been really difficult for me.

I've made some mistakes,
& now I'm paying the consequences.

They say everything happens for a reason,
and I completely agree.

But, what makes me angry is what people believe.
Rumors & lies,
that's what.

If you are wondering what happened.
Its so much easier to ask someone who for sure knows,
than to believe something that isn't true.

It is slowly "blowing over" I guess..
I just have to wait and see,

But for now,
I'm taking some down time.
To recollect my life & see where I want to go with it.

Obviously, I will never allow that to happen again.

Maybe God was trying to show me something,
that I don't have to participate in that,
I can have fun & watch.
Thank you Lord for that.

This whole incident would have been a billion times worse if I would have participated.
Thank you Lord.

Just a cabin compared to the kingdom.

For those of you who don't know chi-rho is a church camp. Not only that but much much more. Some may think that it probably isn't that good, but it was for me last year, when it helped me find God on a whole new level. I am so thankful for that week last year and am very thankful for being able to go again this year. Oh, chi-rho. I miss you oh so very much. Today we received slips to come back to chi-rho and I am oh so excited.

To come back to the wide mountains, crisp cool air, and cedar trees. A week without temptations and almost free of sin. A journey with my closest friends as we take a walk with God. It is as if everything on earth is at a standstill in awe of your glory.. The blue birds, the chilly rivers, even the dirt dances for you. A cabin built from earth's woods for a shelter for your people, as we come together to form a palace of peace and unity. To share a celebration of the death of evil, when entering your kingdom in Heaven. For us to stand hand in hand next to the Almighty and His son, to overcome challenges faced on earth so we may live eternally in the presence of what is all holy and honorable forever..

Stop

Last night I went to "Cotillion",
I was expecting something VERY boring with adults telling us pointless things, and being practically bored to death.

But.

When I went it was for sure not the worst, and as it went on, a lady (Mrs. Orr) was speaking to us about... just life. And when she was speaking, things that I have heard over and over in my life, actually starting registering in my mind, and she helped me make decisions that I have been trying to avoid for sometime now. Everything she said almost is exactly what I've been going through.

I love all of my friends, even those who may make bad decisions, because who am I to judge? Especially when they are a long time friend. Some people may judge them, and me for that matter based on who I hang out with or past mistakes they've made. That isn't what God wants, he wants you to make great choices of course, but if you judge others and look down upon them for making bad choices it is just as shameful.

Anyway, I never do anything just because someone else wants me to, I make limits for myself, and I may be with people who cross those limits of their own, but that doesn't mean just because they do, that I have to... This might not make sense, but I know it is the right thing, I wouldn't want to "drop" a friend because of one bad choice, of course then again this is hypocritical if there is an entire path they are choosing to take that is not the best. Nevertheless just because I choose to be with these people doesn't mean that I have to take that path as well, see?

She taught us more things as well, such as reputation, language, how important faith is, and other things. Things that I have always known are important but, that doesn't mean I haven't fallen through with each one.

So, since "it is never too late" she says, I have decided on a couple of things that I am going to do to "spiff up my life", ha. :)

1. Put God first.
When making a choice think to myself, "If I could see God right now, would he be smiling?" Sounds cheesy, but true.

2. Not care what others think.
I'm actually pretty good about this one, like I have said before I have limits for myself, I listen to those, not what others' limits are for me.

3. Excersize more.
Not because I am out of shape, that isn't the only reason, ha :) but it is great for you to keep in good health, and make sure you take care of your body.

4. NO CURSING.
I don't know if you have heard me curse, but maybe when i'm in a playing mood or very angry, I do. It isn't attractive, it isn't funny, it's just stupid.
Smaller things...

5. Take more pictures.
I love love love looking back on old pictures and it brings back a flood of memories, I need to start carrying my camera on a leash ;)

6. GET OFF THE COMPUTER.
I'm on this thing... hmm... lets say... 24/7?

7. Don't quit.
I am indeed a h u g e quitter, maybe because I haven't found anything I enjoy, or maybe, probably, because I need more determination.

8. RELAX.
I have anxiety, I think because I am always worried, or on the edge. Even sometimes when it comes to people who maybe very kind but I am in one of those moods where e v e r y t h i n g is annoying, when that happens I need to calm down, and not get mad at them.

10. No drama, mama.
Ha, but seriously, there isn't much, but whatever is out there, don't get involved, when you don't say anything nothing can come back to you, and I know I will feel a whole lot better after I know I avoided a fight.

11. Self esteem.
I am confident, don't get me wrong, but sometimes (maybe because of the anxiety) I worry a little tiny bit, too much. I need to forget my flaws, and live life the
way God made me too.

12. Complete my bucket list little by little.
I made one that isn't even close to being finished that is 202 things so farrr, like I said not even close to being finished... But it will be there, I'm not just going to add and add I want to get this puppy accomplished by time lets say... 92? :)

13. Last but not least, BE THANKFUL.
When I go back to the top and read my first paragraph, it is pathetic. I am GRATEFUL that I even had the opportunity to go to a cotillion, and that the wonderful parents are trying to put this dance together for us teens, to have a little bit of fun for a night. Wow, I am ashamed that is what I thought when going to the class.

These won't all be easy to do, but over time I think everything will come together, to make me into a better person.

I've Got Class.

I love things that make you lol, no not the acronym people use when they don't know what to say in the conversation or to lighten the mood, i mean the literally expression Laugh Out Loud, and these always seem to pull through for me.

This one is 220 things to do in class.
Classic? Yes.
I bolded the ones that I thought were the funniest.
& the bold and italic are the bestttt. (:

1. When the teacher says to “take a seat”, you answer “take it where”.
2. When the teacher calls your name at roll call, you answer “Absent”. .

3.When she calls roll, you answer “yo mama”.
4.When the teacher says something, you say “is that so?”
5.If you so happened to not turn in your homework say, your class pet ate it. .

6.Tell your teacher you’ll turn in your homework, as soon as your parents finish doing it.
7. Tell your teacher you did not turn in your homework because you were watching TV. or because _____ the nerd was absent.
8. Poke someone. .
9. While your teacher is grading papers in class, sharpen your pencil. Very loudly.
10.When the teacher says to stop, covertly break the lead and say “but it’s not sharpened”.
11. Never bring a pen or pencil so you always have to borrow one from the teacher.
Return the pencil to the teacher, with the eraser end all chewed and slobbery.

12. Use crayon for important assignments.
13. Lean your chair back so that it is balancing on only two legs. Extra points if you fall over backward.
14.Put wads of chewed gum on the end of your pencil.
15.When the teacher asks a question, raise your hand. If the teacher calls on you, ask if you can go to the bathroom.
16.Ask if you can be excused to go to the bathroom, then take a tour around the school.
17.Put too many staples on your paper when you staple it. Extra points if you make a good design with them.
18.Write so small on your paper that the teacher can barely read it.
